Mr. Schafer is Founder and President of Aslan Realty Group, a multi-family investment company targeting value-add and under-managed apartment communities. These communities require significant management skill to improve operating performance through project repositioning and/or renovation. Mr. Schafer’s efforts focus on sourcing capital, structuring transactions and developing business strategies. Under Mr. Schafer’s direction, Aslan Realty Group has participated in transactions in excess of $700 million.

Mr. Schafer has over twenty years of management and transactional experience within the real estate industry. During his career, he has managed well over $2 billion in real estate assets and has been involved with the acquisition or disposition of well over $1 billion in assets.

Prior to founding Aslan Realty Group, Mr. Schafer co-founded and served as the President of Lyon Capital Ventures, a multi-family investment and development company based in Southern California. He also was Vice President for Lend Lease (Equitable Real Estate), providing advisory services (asset management, dispositions, acquisitions due diligence and development feasibility analysis) to state and corporate pension funds and international clients for a $300 million portfolio.

Mr. Schafer graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Miami University and earned a Masters of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School.
